Product Description
This kit is full of wonderful tools you can put in a folder for your writers (or use in any other way that’s useful to you)!
------------------------------------
ALL THE INTERESTING DETAILS
I like to give each child their own special writing folder. The inside pockets are labeled “still writing” and “done” and it’s where they put their stories and papers. In the middle, I like to put the pages that are included in this resource. You’ll find them ALL in both horizontal and vertical options, as well and black and white and color. I put some pages in page protectors and others without (because we write on them):
➊ Letter Chart with pictures (in 2 font styles)
➋ My Word Wall / Words I Use: Use this for kids to record words they have worked hard to stretch out and plan on using again... like their own little dictionary. Comes all on one page or stretched across two pages. If you want to insert your own personal words you could print one & write them in before you make copies. You could also have kids add words as you teach them.
➌ Goals: As you conference with kids, write in a goal for them like “spaces between words” or “punctuation” or “writing ending sounds” etc. ... and then as you see them meet their goal, draw a star or smiley face (or add a small sticker) in the 1, 2, 3 column. Once they’ve been caught meeting their goal 3 times, they can ”graduate” from that task and focus on something new.
➍ FANTASTIC Writing Ideas for all genres: Narrative, How-To, and Persuasive/Opinion.
